Two new ITIL® 4 extensions modules are being developed in the next quarter:
ITIL® 4 Specialist: IT Asset Management (ITAM)
- Overview The benefits of IT asset management are more important than ever before. ITAM explores the importance of managing costs and risks, monitoring and ensuring compliance, and
good governance of IT assets.
ITIL® 4 Specialist: Business Relationship Management (BRM)
- Establishing and nurturing the relationships between service providers and consumer organisations, and their stakeholders has never been more important. BRM explores how service
relationships can build competitive advantage.
For both modules ITIL® 4 Foundation will be a prerequisite.
In the meantime, ITIL® 4 can be improved with a more practical qualification after Foundation. The contents of ITIL® 4 Practices are important, but little used.
It is possible that a new operations-focused qualification based on ITIL 4 Practices will be developed in the future, with the development of one-day modules based on the most popular ITIL® 4 Practices.
